I find it increasingly harder to submit and come under the authority of my husband because many of his decisions lack spiritual maturity. Can you give me any insight on this? Above everything else, I want to be filled with the knowledge of God's will and increase in the knowledge of Him. I want to walk worthy unto the Lord with all pleasing being fruitful in every good work as it says in Col. 1.

Your situation is not unusual. I've seen it occur in both men and women when their spouses are not growing at the same rate. It effectively creates a variation of the lack of spiritual harmony. However, the greatest danger is to be self-oriented and prideful in what God is teaching you. The genuine test of whether spiritual growth is occurring or whether it is merely "knowledge that puffs up" is the ability to remain focused on the genuine issues present. The work of God in you is not going to create a lack of contentment with your spouse - cp. Philippians 4:11. Such a divisive or dissatisfied spirit will come from the enemy. Although I understand how greatly one desires those around them to experience the same delights, genuine love for them will prevail over disdain. I would point you to 1 Peter 3:1-6 to observe how God expects a wife to approach her husband when He is spiritually unresponsive to the Word.

As for the ministry of the church - as long as the Word of God is being preached - even if it is "shallow" (which in itself is something for which a pastor will have to answer before the Good Shepherd), you can take what is offered and worship. Church ought not be defined on the basis of what you learn alone - but on the basis of how you are encouraged to approach God in worship with what is being served through the messages, songs, hymns, and prayers.

Above all else, pray for these important people in your life. Spiritual growth is something that God's Spirit produces in us. We cannot manufacture it for ourselves or our loved ones. Stay on your knees for them asking God to graciously cause them to grow as well.
